He's Getting so Big!!

Jackson has really grown up in the past few months.  He's more patient, he is starting to show reasoning skills, he is eager to learn about anything and everything!  He loves to go to PaPa's and watch the History Channel.  Recent interests from the History Channel include:  Death Valley, the Pyramids, and Volcanos.  Grammy brought home some old Nova VHS movies from school.  Remember Nova movies??  Anyway, Jackson is sooo excited to watch them.  Then, he comes home and wants to look up Death Valley, Pyramids, etc on the Internet.  I'm so glad he is eager to learn!

He got another set of Legos for Christmas.  He used to need help in building things, but recently, he's been able to look at the pictures and figure things out.  Then, he modifies them and makes other things out of the originial creation.  Tonight, he worked and worked, then brought this vehicle to me and said "Mom, look! I made your car, an Explorer!"  I kind of think it looks a lot like my Explorer!

This same night, Jackson and I sat down to read a book and I realized that he was starting to sound out words!  So, I got a first reader book out and helped him sound out and "read" the book.  Proud mama and proud Jackson!
